November in Paris

The Maddock's are on the move.  The whole family had such an amazing experience on our last vacation (this past spring when we went to Japan), that we couldn't wait to get back on the road. Many of you followed our Japanese adventure at http://thefroginthewell-japan.blogspot.com/.  We had such great feedback that we decided to continue with our "Frog in the Well" travel blog.

On Monday November 22 we are heading to France to spend a week in Paris. Our goal on the trip is to live like Parisians for a week, so we have rented an apartment in the artsy Montmartre district located in Paris's Right Bank. Compared to our highly structured Japan trip, our plan for Paris is quite loose, we haven't really planned anything.

We have a list of a few "must sees", but outside of that we intend to put our walking shoes on just wander the streets of the city that was recently ranked among the worlds three most important and influential cities.

If you are interested, please follow us on "The Frog in the Well - Paris" blog.  We will post stories and pictures as our adventure unfolds.

  1. Bonjour Maddocks! Ca va?
Ok, that's about as good as my French gets, but I'm working on it thanks to Rosetta Stone :)
Anyway, Julie has an Aunt in Paris who owns a very good restaurant there so I'll find out the details and let you know.
    Bon voyage!
    Ciao

  3. I know you have lots of "must see" places but I have to suggest some: Rodin Museum and LÓrangerie (Monet big paintings), also I'm not sure if it's still season but there's a great show at Versailles Pallace that covers main facts of France History, if you're up to a little further adventure I would suggest Mont St. Michel and Caen's Museum close to D Day disembark beaches of WW2 Beijos and write soon!
